Choosing the right dance class matters. At Central Arkansas Dance Center, we offer programs for preschoolers through teens from first-time dancers to experienced performers. Our classes build confidence, character, and community in a safe, encouraging environment, with options for recreational, aerial, and competitive paths.

Programs Include: recreational dance classes, acro and aerial silks, ballet and tap, hip hop and pom, specialty and inclusive programs, and opportunities for competitive teams.

From the first pair of tiny ballet shoes to advanced training and performance opportunities, CADC is committed to creating a welcoming home for every dancer and family.

Age Guidelines

Use this overview to quickly see which classes may be the best fit. Exact placement is finalized with help from our instructors.

Preschool & Early Elementary

Ages 2–4: Recreational Combo (intro to acro, ballet & tap)
Kindergarten–2nd grade: Recreational Combo and early technique classes

Elementary & Pre-Teen

Ages 6+: Beginner Silks and Beginner/Intermediate Silks
Ages 7+: Pom Technique, Hip Hop, Acro Levels 1–2, and early technique classes

Teen, Intermediate & Advanced

Intermediate/advanced dancers are placed into Acro Levels 3–4, Silks Intermediate, tap technique, pre-pointe and pointe, and competition tracks by instructor recommendation.

Competition Teams

For dancers who want additional performance opportunities and a higher level of training, CADC offers competition teams that emphasize teamwork, commitment, and strong technique.

  • Mini & Petite Teams – for younger dancers ready for focused training and local competitions.
  • Junior & Teen Teams – for intermediate/advanced dancers committed to regular rehearsals and multiple routines.
  • Specialty Routines – small groups, duets, and solos by instructor recommendation.

Placement & Expectations: Placement on a team is based on instructor evaluation, technical readiness, work ethic, and family commitment to rehearsals and events. We are happy to talk through options if your dancer is interested in taking this next step.

EveryBODY Dances Program

EveryBODY Dances is a warm, welcoming combo class created for dancers who may benefit from a smaller class size, additional support, or a more individualized pace. Our teachers focus on building confidence, celebrating strengths, and making sure every dancer feels seen and valued.

Families are encouraged to share any supports or accommodations that help their dancer feel comfortable. Together, we create an environment where every body can experience the joy of dance.

Mon 6:45–7:45pm Pom Technique and Hip Hop Ages 7+ Get ready to bring the energy! This combo class blends the sharp movements of pom with the rhythm and attitude of hip-hop. Dancers will work on arm strength, timing, and team-styled choreography while learning how to perform with confidence and style. It is the perfect mix of precision and personality!

Tue 1:15–2:00pm Homeschool Silks Intermediate Intermediate Designed for students with prior silks experience, this class builds upon foundational climbs, wraps, and poses while introducing more complex sequences and transitions.
Tue 2:00–2:45pm Homeschool Silks Beginner Beginner This class teaches the basics of aerial silks! Students will learn how to safely climb, wrap, and create beautiful shapes in the air all while improving strength, coordination, and confidence. No experience needed, just a love for trying new things!
Tue 2:45–3:30pm Homeschool Acro Level 1–2 A fun and exciting class where students learn the basics of acrobatics in a safe, supportive environment! Students will work on flexibility, strength, and coordination while learning foundational tumbling skills. All acro classes at CADC include minimum silks and lyra fundamentals.
Tue 4:15–5:00pm Recreational Acro Level 1–2 A fun and exciting class where students learn the basics of acrobatics in a safe, supportive environment! Tue 6:45–8:00pm Pre-point and Point Ballet Pre-Pointe / Pointe Prep This class is designed to prepare dancers for the strength and control required for pointe work. Students will focus on proper alignment, ankle and foot strength, balance, and core stability through targeted exercises. Perfect for dancers who aspire to advance to pointe or who want to refine their overall technique.
Tue 8:00–8:30pm Pointe Ballet Instructor Recommended This class is for dancers who have been recommended by their instructor and who are ready to begin or continue pointe work.
Wednesday Classes
Wed 4:15–5:45pm Acro Level 3–4 This class is designed for students who have mastered foundational acro skills and are ready to advance to more challenging tricks and transitions.
Wed 5:30–7:00pm Acro Level 3–4 This class is designed for students who have mastered foundational acro skills and are ready to advance to more challenging tricks and transitions.
Wed 7:00–7:30pm Tap Technique Technique This class focuses on building strong tap fundamentals, rhythm, and sound clarity. Dancers will work on clean footwork, timing, coordination, and musicality while exploring a variety of tap styles. Perfect for students looking to refine their skills and strengthen their technique in preparation for performances.
Thursday Classes
Thu 7:15–8:15pm Everybody Dances Combo EveryBODY Dances This fun, upbeat class gives dancers the chance to explore a variety of dance styles while building confidence and creativity! Students will learn a special routine to perform at our recital in May and get hands-on experience with different styles–including silks and other exciting dance elements.
Friday Classes
Fri 5:15–6:00pm Acro Level 1–2 A fun and exciting class where students learn the basics of acrobatics in a safe, supportive environment!
